Chester is about to serve up something special. From Sunday 16th to Saturday 22nd February, the city centre will host the first-ever Chester Restaurant Week! A brand-new celebration dedicated to the local and independent food and drink businesses that give Chester its unmistakable charm. For seven days, the city becomes a playground for food lovers, curious diners, and anyone who simply enjoys discovering something new on their plate.
With exclusive offers, limited-edition dishes, and great-value dining experiences across cafés, pubs, restaurants, bakeries, and bars, there is every reason to get involved. Whether you are a long-time local, weekend visitor, or someone who wants to visit the ‘Prettiest City in the World’ then this is the perfect time to explore Chester’s vibrant food scene, one bite at a time.
A week built for food lovers
Chester Restaurant Week has been created to shine a spotlight on the city’s independent and local hospitality businesses, managed by passionate people who put their creativity, energy, and heart into every plate and pour.
As Gareth Boyd, Founder of Walking Food Tours UK and Curator of this event, says that this is a chance to “celebrate Chester’s amazing independent food and drink scene” and encourage residents and visitors to “explore, try new flavours, and support the businesses that make the city so special.”
He is right. Chester’s food scene is wonderfully diverse, and this Restaurant Week is designed to help people experience that variety in a fun, accessible way.
