Commercial dispute resolution and mediation
Understanding that complex disputes can keep clients awake at night, Michael is a keen advocate of Alternative Dispute Resolution, potentially avoiding costly and time-consuming litigation. He is also a trained commercial mediator having qualified with the Society of Mediators in 2020. As an example of a successful resolution, Michael has recently settled a long-standing construction dispute through mediation on behalf of an international trust client. This involved a dispute with contractors that had been ongoing for 11 years. With Michael’s involvement, the successful outcome provided certainty, crystallising the position for the trust client, allowing works at the property to be completed.
